DEEP-SPACE CAT, LOCAL HOURS
Purrbit
Keeps the quiet side of orbit properly inspected.
Night Shift
Purrbit patrols the soft edge of the galaxy, where the stars are small and the paperwork drifts. Every night begins with a helmet check, one lap around the purple moon, and a careful sniff of the signal mast. The backpack holds a warm snack, two spare batteries, and a folded note from home. Nothing has ever been wrong. The inspections continue.
Standard Procedure
Three habits keep the shift orderly. Purrbit learned them, then wrote them in neat block letters. On duty, the cat remains available for alarms, wandering signals, and any moon that looks uncertain.
Quiet Engines
Coasts past sleeping satellites without waking their little red lights.
Moon Courtesy
Always waves, even when the moon is clearly off duty.
Tail Navigation
Makes precise turns whenever the instruments become overly confident.
Purrbit
Orbit remains politely supervised.
